DREADMOOR Submerged Lands Map

Named regions, travel by trawler, landmarks such as wrecks and skulls.

The Submerged Lands are the publisher-facing name for the open flooded world of DREADMOOR. Coastal regions have sunk beneath the water and most of the remaining land has been submerged, so travel between scattered settlements is done by trawler rather than by walking shorelines.

Named regions and landmarks

Two named regions are confirmed in preview coverage and they anchor most of the play area:

  • The Throat — a named region with deeper-water rosters.
  • The Slough — a named region mixing standard and rare catches.

Across the Submerged Lands you will also see these landmarks as fixed waypoints:

  • Shipwrecks broken at the waterline or with masts protruding from the surface.
  • Leviathan skulls with glowing eggs as visual landmarks.
  • Abandoned buildings and caves along partially submerged shorelines.
  • Lighthouse silhouettes and decaying structures visible from the trawler.

Travel by trawler

  1. Stock the boat with fuel and medicine before leaving the dock.
  2. Plot the run between two named regions you have not visited yet.
  3. Watch for surface marks (fish-head icons, gull circles) along the route.
  4. Drop anchor at the first dockable structure you find at the destination zone.

Settlement docks are the safe anchor points between expeditions, and the workbench and dry dock live near them. Treat the named regions as sub-regions inside the larger Submerged Lands umbrella, and treat the boat as the route map.

Reading the water

There is no public in-game map document yet, so navigation relies on what the water tells you:

  • Fish-head icons and gull circles mark fishable spots; pull up to reveal the local roster.
  • Tentacle surfacings and ripples warn of mutated threats near the boat.
  • Wreck silhouettes and masts mark salvage sites.
  • Dockable structures and decaying roofs mark settlement hubs.

For the visual hunt pattern that turns those marks into loot, see the DREADMOOR shipwrecks locations guide.
